Purpose
The application securely connects the Ancient Deities Dossier™ channel owner’s local creator tools to YouTube. It retrieves authorized channel metadata and aggregate performance statistics so the owner can review published content and creator analytics from one local workspace.
Requested scopes
| Scope | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
youtube.readonly | Read the authorized channel’s identity, videos, playlists, and related metadata without changing them. |
yt-analytics.readonly | Read aggregate YouTube Analytics reports for the authorized channel. |
openid email profile | Only if enabled, identify the account granting access and show the correct connected-account state. |
No write scope is part of the published minimum-scope design. If a future feature genuinely requires broader permission, the site and policy must be updated before that scope is requested.
What the application does
- Lists authorized channel and video records.
- Displays aggregate statistics such as views, watch time, and retention.
- Produces local owner-requested summaries.
- Uses public video identifiers to keep the website catalog current.
What the application does not do
- It does not upload, edit, delete, like, or comment on videos.
- It does not manage subscriptions or alter the connected account.
- It does not sell, rent, or use connected data for advertising.
- It does not place access tokens, refresh tokens, or client secrets in Neocities.
- It does not grant unrestricted control over a connected account; every capability remains limited by the approved authorization scopes.
Storage and revocation
Credentials are intended to be stored locally using the operating system’s protected credential service. The public website stores none. The owner can disconnect the authorized application and revoke access through the connected account’s security and third-party connection settings. See the full Privacy Policy for retention and deletion details.
